What is the Tunisia Bachata Festival?
An international bachata festival on the Mediterranean coast of Tunisia. World-class international artists and passionate dancers come together for 8 days of workshops, social night parties, pool and beach parties, cultural trips and activities.
It is also a cultural experience: a chance to discover the richness of Tunisian hospitality, dance with the world and create memories that last a lifetime.
When is the 2028 festival?
Tunisia Bachata Festival 2028 runs for 8 days: 1–8 Haziran 2028.
Where does the festival take place?
In Tunisia, on the Mediterranean coast. The 2028 venue and the official hotel are revealed soon on the Venue page.
The first edition, in September 2026, took place at the Carthage Thalasso Resort in Gammarth, on the coast north of Tunis.
Who are the artists?
The 2028 lineup is on the Artists page: world-class bachata artists from across the globe. DJs and media partners are not announced yet.
Can beginners join?
Yes. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a curious beginner, this is the place to connect, grow and celebrate movement.
In 2026, about half of the workshops were open to all levels; the others included improver, intermediate, advanced, masterclass and styling classes.
Is it only bachata?
Bachata is at the heart of the festival. In 2026 the night parties also had a Bachata Influence room, a Kizomba & Zouk room and a Salsa & Dominicana room.

Which passes are there?
Every pass is on the Tickets page: the Full Pass, masterclasses and add-ons. Add-ons pair with any pass.
Do prices include taxes?
Yes, all prices include taxes. The tourist tax is separate: it is paid on arrival at the hotel (see “Is there a tourist tax?”).
Is there a minimum age?
You must be at least 18 years old to buy tickets.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final: tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. If the event is cancelled, ticket holders are refunded to their original payment method.
Can I transfer my ticket or change the name on it?
Yes. A ticket can be transferred to another person, or the name on it changed, for a fee of €10.
Transfers and name changes close one month before the first day of the festival. After that date, only hotel and accommodation bookings can be transferred to another guest, for a fee of €50.
Can I resell my ticket?
No. Unauthorised resale or duplication of tickets is prohibited and could lead to legal action. To pass your ticket on, use an official transfer instead.
What do I agree to when I buy a ticket?
By purchasing a ticket, you accept our terms and agree to follow our Code of Conduct. This includes receiving service and marketing emails about SparkleUp Events festivals; you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in each email.

Where will I stay?
The 2028 venue and the official hotel are revealed soon, and pass and hotel packages for 2028 open soon. Meanwhile, the Accommodation page shows what is already known.
In 2026, dancers, artists, DJs and staff all stayed, danced and shared the same space at the festival resort, the Carthage Thalasso Resort in Gammarth.
Is there a tourist tax?
Yes. A tourist tax of 3.5 TND per person per night for Tunisian guests, and 12 TND per person per night for foreign guests, is payable on arrival at the hotel.
Can I transfer my hotel booking to someone else?
Yes. Hotel and accommodation bookings can still be transferred to another guest after ticket transfers close, for a fee of €50. Email us at contact@tunisiabachatafestival.com and we will take care of it.
Program
When is the programme published?
The 2028 programme of workshops, parties and shows is published once the lineup is complete. Meanwhile, you can browse the 2026 programme.
What happens during the festival?
Workshops with world-class artists, social parties day and night, pool and beach parties, shows, cultural trips and activities.
In 2026 the programme also included a boat party, city tours, live jazz at dinner, a colour beach party, a foam pool party and themed night parties.
Which time zone are the times in?
All times are Tunisia time (UTC+1).
Can the programme change?
Yes. The schedule is indicative and may change ahead of the event: we reserve the right to change schedules, artists, venues or programming.
Can I add the schedule to my calendar?
Yes. On the Calendar page you can subscribe in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. It is a live subscription, not a download: when we publish a change to the programme, your calendar picks it up on its own within a few hours.

Is there a Code of Conduct?
Yes. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to follow our Code of Conduct and help us create a space where everyone feels safe, respected and welcome. It applies to all event participants, including attendees, performers, staff, volunteers and stallholders.
The current version is always on our website, and the version in place at the time of the event applies.
What happens if someone breaks the Code of Conduct?
We take breaches seriously. Anyone who chooses not to follow the Code may be removed from the event, denied entry or banned from future events, with no refund.
What should I do if something doesn’t feel right?
If you experience or witness something that doesn’t feel right, please speak to our event team or use our reporting process, which is available anonymously if needed.
Will I be photographed or filmed?
Photography and videography may occur during the event; your attendance grants us the right to use your likeness for promotional purposes.

How do I become a promoter?
Applications for 2028 open soon: the 2028 promoter programme is being redesigned.
In 2026, promoters applied with a short form, received their unique promo code once approved, and chose between rewards (such as free passes) and commissions.

Can my team perform a show?
Applications for 2028 open soon. Because of scheduling and logistics, a selection process curates a limited number of shows.
An application needs your team name and leader contact details, a video of your performance, the show duration and the full list of team members. Selected shows are contacted to follow up on technical needs, music choice and overall composition.
